3 Great Skincare Products

J asked for skincare as a Xmas present.   We researched the ‘right’ products for this age group.  

Of course, J got to decide what she wanted.

So here’s our list of skincare;

1.        Spots and Stripes

We like the design of the bottle and they sent free stickers.  It’s all pretty simple and they have bundles of products sold together.   The pimple cream is a hit as well as the deodorant.  A swears by the shampoo and conditioner (her hair is wavy and thick.)   Their site says it’s for 8 to 16 yrs but we wouldn't start till the age of 10.  Various view as to whether the boys on the site are cute (gross / initiate vomiting for J and A).  This is what we started with: Teen Skincare Essentials Set For Girls — SPOTS & STRIPES (spots-and-stripes.com)

2.        Florence by Mills

We’ve been having Spa days at home since covid (out of boredom, we came up with activity to kill a day.) Recently we have been using the Mind Glowing Peel off Mask.   Easy enough to buy it at your local Boots.   The jar it comes in is a bright purple.  You apply a layer on your face which at first looks a bit purple but pretty quickly makes you look like you have very bad sunburn.  When we first tried it out, we scared the boys in the family (bonus).   After 20 minutes or so, it feels dry and then you peel it off.  You grab a little piece and pretty quickly it all comes off.  It’s really satisfying peeling it off your face; it feels like you’re peeling some alien skin off of you.  Our skin was really smooth afterwards and pores were looking pretty shiny.   So it’s a firm recommendation from us !

3.        Solar Buddies

We’re SPF obsessed in our family.  A has scar on her face so has to wear sunscreen on it every day.  She uses this stick as easy to put on. J has quite pale skin (‘English Rose’) so SPF 50 is our friend.  This is the applicator we use.   The huge advantage is that your hands don’t get sticky and/or shiny.  It also only takes seconds to apply.  Say goodbye to having too much suncream on your hands, getting it all over the floor, clothes, wherever.  ‘Game changer’ according to Mum ('whatevs' for J and A.)
